A writer and A singer ( (short story)

I want to be a writer, yes that’s my dream. I know that I am not that good at writing. But I like it. There are many writers in this world , different languages . Different countries. Different ages.I really don’t like stories with Shakespearian English. Old school grammar. Deep meanings ,symbols, errrr… I am writing for people like me , I don’t want anyone to “google “ words in my stories. Or to read a review to understand the meaning. one day someone’s gona make movies out of my stories . They gona be famous like Harry Potter and Twilight, and I’ll make lots of lots of money. But NO !!!! I would NEVER EVER let anyone put my stories in to school text books. I don’t want students to suffer like I do . I don’t want them to study my birthplace my parents names … I don’t want them to criticize my writings according the marking’s scheme.

I like fairytales, kings and queens. Vampires and demons , but I like to write about people. Things happened to me. things happened to people around me. in another words I am a thief I steel other people’s lives .
Day before yesterday after school when I was coming home I saw this poor girl singing songs for living in a bus . I wrote a short story about her. i didn’t go to school yesterday.

But today after school I saw her again . I was in the last row. It wasn’t that crowded . There were some Maroon students as well. I hate them.. they were making huge noises ,stupid jokes , they were behaving like errrrrr Marronians of course . She sang a new hip hop song. Not a old classic like other beggars do. She had a small drum in her hand . (Tambourine ) I have seen many like this but her. She was young . had a sweet voice . and I have never seen a woman singing in a bus.

She starts collecting money when she finished her song. Lots of people gave her money . mostly notes not coins. Stupid maroon buggers made fun of her . when she came to the last row. I try to give her my story .she looked at me ,and then the envelop in my hand . Studipid Maroonians saw that and they start shouting

“ ahhhhhhhhhhhh”

she felt so embarrassed and get out of the bus as quickly as possibly . all the people were staring at me so I had to do the same. I followed her ...

"Heeyy "

so this was like in movies . boy running after the girl begging for love. as i was in uniform i attract more attention . she was walking damn fast so I had to run.

“I saw you yesterday . no day before yesterday . “

I really don’t know how to explain Next few seconds. She looked deep in to my eyes. Like looking deep in to my soul . I had nothing to say.

“Okey. ..”

There was a pastry shop few meters away . we went in .while I was busy ordering .one staff member tried to pull her out. I said

“she is with me “

“no sir she is not allowed here “

manager waved at him from the back so he released her hand. I brought her a hot dog but she refused to eat .

I spend next 10 minutes reading my story. and eating my hot dog and her one . waste of money noh.

“This is a fairy tail”

I am from Anuradhapura . yes my mother and father died. But I had my relatives they all try to help me . send me to school. Then college .university maybe . i always wanted to be a singer .but they didn’t believe me. They didn’t help me to be who I want to be .. so I started collecting money I could have borrowed money from them to release an album but no one would buy it . but now many people know me . the girl who sang in the bus .

“ You are just doing this to win sympathy .. !!!!!”

“NO !!! I like what I do. Singing. Even in streets its better than doing something you don’t want to do .”

This was not the story I wanted to hear . this is absurd . may be she is lying … oh no again that soul look.

I couldn’t answer to that question , because she hide her self behind the table , another beggar came in . Exchanged some coins to notes . and when he turned he saw her.

‘What the hell are you doing here ? ‘

‘ Another boy friend of yours ‘

‘ No a friend of mine’

‘ 20 minutes late . that’s brave princess‘

‘ No I am sorry look I was just about to leave and he wanted to show his story .’

‘That’s not a good excuse ‘

She was freeking out . tell him what happened .then i tried he raised his hand . took a cell phone out of his bag. Oh, he has a mobile phone .

‘ Boss . she is still here ‘

‘ Okey boss.. ‘

‘ Boss want to see you’ .

‘No I am leaving …’

‘Too late princess ‘

‘ What’s happening here I don’t understand ‘

I was really confused at that moment. I have given money to this other beggar too. If I knew he had mobile phone. I should have save that money to reload my phone.

“Can 3 of you please leave. That s the manager ,”

We were really making a scene by then

“Don’t make him more angry princes “

“I wont, let me say good bye to him”

Then she talked to me .little by little we could move a bit away from him. She hold my hand.

“1 2 3 run “

i ran with out knowing where ? and why ? That man chased after us . we stopped a taxi. She said

“Kohuwala”

I had nothing to say but had lot to ask .

“What was that ?”

“Totally a misunderstanding they just don’t admit ‘that I am a singer not a beggar ‘

‘Oh,’

‘You better get home Don’t worry they wont hurt you as long as you are not a beggar”

‘They ll hurt you ?’

‘No ,, boss is just a boss for a certain area …’

‘Oh,’

‘stop near the bus holt please ‘

‘I ll come with you for Kohuwala ’

‘No I am safe.’

‘What if this driver steal all your money ‘

I whispered

‘Nahh he cant’

Then he showed me her debit card. “Globalization “ I think ..

‘No. I cant afford to waste money on things like that ‘

Taxi stopped. I had to say good bye to her.

Was it a dream.. I did poke my self few times but it was real. Was she really telling the truth ? I don’t know . what’s her problem with this Boss guy ? I don’t know .. who is she ? I don’t know… but I am just day dreaming to be a writer . is she day dreaming too ? oh is she really trying to be a singer ?

Dear Mom and Dad.

I am terribly sorry for what happened today. Being the family’s only child isn’t easy , from the day I was born , I did everything that you two wanted , I dressed the way you want, I did everything you asked me to do. I knew you two see “you” in me, and you want that “you” to do things you want , I never complained.
When I had 9 A’s for O/l’s . the first thing dada said was ‘’ you should have done better’’. Both of you wanted to be engineers but couldn’t succeed. Now you all want me to be an engineer . I really don’t like doing maths for A/L ‘s. I am sick of these numbers and signs . I always wanted to make my passion my profession but you all wanted me to make your passion my profession. For the sake of being your child you expect me to act like you. I wanted to make you two happy. So I never said a word.

As I said it isn’t easy as you think mum. Being the only child. No one to talk to , no one to play with . the only way I had a little social life was facebook. I really enjoyed it . but as you request I limit it for 1 hour per day. Many think my account is a fake one , because there are no pictures . you don’t want me to upload any so I didn’t. I don’t have much friends in school. Not in class’s . these people knew nothing about me, they were from different parts of the country .sometimes I have chat with boys in our class’s. but I don’t even look at them in class.
You scolded me as much as you wanted. The two of you said everything you can , but if you had given me a minute to explain !!!! it must be Chamine aunty who told you about this. She thinks that her daughter is the symbol of pure milk . she is not mom !!! she is not !!! they just don’t tell everything to their parents . she has a boy friend , this is the third one,
Today you said I lied to you, no mom I never did !!!!!!!can you remember last month I cried for hours after class. I told you how they bug me in class. You said “rich bustards” and gave me a huge hug . just because you are poor . you hate rich people mom ? don’t you ?
I know boys don’t like me ! I am the nerd . not just boys I don’t even have a so called friend . Except at the exam days when they wanted to copy . you don’t know how I feels when these people who cant even remember Newton’s theories, make fun of me, I just wanted to shut their bloody mouths .

You might probably say “have good marks and show them who you are “ . Mom that’s not the point here. But for you for everything rich people are the guilty once. you were my sister . my best friend. But there are several things that daughter’s don’t say for their mothers. Not don’t say , hard to say hard to explain ,and after all there’s a little thing called privacy .
You have no idea how happy I was . today was the best day of my life. Not just for you that was the Hot topic for everyone in school. I just changed my facebook relationship status “single “ to in a relationship “ yesterday . you have no idea how it was at school. People looked at me with full of surprises. At the class boys looked at me like “who the hell wanted to be her boy friend” way.
I wanted to tell you everything !!! the craziest thing I ever did in my life . I wanted to tell you how their face’s looked like . but instead as soon as I came home you two stared at me like I committed a crime . you asked me to sit. Then didn’t give me a second to breath . then you explained everything you have done so far . then father explained his sacrifices .cost of living blab la blahhhh. Then you ordered me to go upstairs !!! if you have given me a single second I could explain you everything. You all never look in to my problems in a chil’d point of view but from a parents eye and as a result you all cant understand how I think of my problems.
I did everything you want mom. I changed my relationship status in to single. I deactivated my profile . but I didn’t tell that “mad man” to forget me. coz there’s no such mad man .
You know the best thing you said when you were scolding me dad ? you said” is he mad to love you ? cant he see that you are still studying ….. “. at school and in class’s lots of people were having that problem. So its really a big deal . even for you two. Loving me.
Mom I am the one who even tell you when I brake a nail . but today you didn’t trust me .You said I lied !! I am tired of this. I am writing this note just to thank you both for everything you have done for me , I really appreciate it. you ll see me no more .

Everything went fine today. Nipuna is really a good actor. But not good at directing though . I felt great. Just because i helped him .the first thing I do whenever I get back home is checking my email.and facebook and myspace and twitter and buzz and wave after that I usually changed my cloths but that depends. ,more times I changed my cloths more laundry for my poor mother so sometimes I sleep in the school uniform .then my dinner depends on the curries . if there’s chicken fish or prawns I eat. if not I am on a diet.

Me in that crazy woman’s hand . I forgot the taste of prawns .in those pictures she wasnt that scary looking. My brother nearly killed me, all night he spend blaming me for my rudeness .

That now crazy looking ugly scary woman was my nanny , not just my nanny my brothers too , she was the one who looked after me till I was 5 , my parents were always out for work, brother school or something . I used to call her “mama “ instead of my own mother when I was little. As I have heard she ran away with my father’s driver . my parents new a little about their affair . my mother wanted to arranged a wedding for them. My father was even thinking of helping them to build their own house . next to our place. But god knows they ran away. My brother thinks that. They wanted a new beginning. He thinks that they didn’t wanted to be someone’s servant forever.

chamine aunty has spoken to her. My father’s driver has left her after few months . then again she moved to Monaragala and married a farmer. Chamine aunty has asked what brings her here after such a long time ? but she didn’t have a answer for that.

Looking at all the pictures made me realize

“wahhhh, she so pretty!!! you are very lucky young man, .”

“thank you.” And that’s me

Natasha is in my wallpaper .not just in my mobile .she is in my desktop, she is in my screen server . and even in my head. But I lied she is not my girl friend.

“ Seriously. They should fix some mobile phones or something instead of those old coin boxes. “

“Haha “I smiled

“No I am serious, no one brings coins to the air port . “

“Yeah… “Another smile

I just met Arjun at the airport .he asked for my phone for a minute. Arjun is an Indian. He tried to pay me 10 $ ‘s for using my phone .10 $ per a call, yeah they really should remove old coin boxes and put a communication center here. Arjun kept complaining about the air hostess, ticket prizes, and he kept blaming for the cab service. I just said nothing but yeah yeah …. For everything. his cab arrives after 10 - 15 minutes . i don’t know where he is going to but I feel really sorry for the driver. He should have an Ipod. Ah he must have a radio .

My parents arnt here yet. Its kind of funny though, my mother and sister cried when I left sri lanka few weeks ago. But now here I am back in sl but they are not on time to pick me up .

While checking the time in my mobile. i keep looking in to her eyes her light brown eyes, like an eyes of …… till the power saver turn off the mobile screen. Is it love or something else I mean most people do have their girl friends pictures in their mobile phones .they like it when other people see it .they love it when others talk about them, and to be knows as her boy friend .its like having a girl friend is like a jewelry. Is it what I want ? or something else .

No one wanted to be Natasha’s boy friend except me of course. all the others wanted to have fun with her, but sometime back people loved taking pictures with her ,and uploading them in facebook. some made them as there profile pictures, and to be knows as Natasha’s boy friend it was really a big deal at that time. but now….. she is known as “Nati the bitch “. I really don’t like that name but that’s what people call her.

I first met her at our good old day care center. We were in grade 2. I don’t know whether I loved her back then. But I loved her eyes !!!! I had a cute little pencil box.a Winnie the pooh one. She was very much in love with it ,

“ I ll give it to you if you give me your eyes. “

She said “cool .”

then I gave it to her, but she didn’t give me her eyes as she promised . so I push her, then she bit my hand , I pushed her again this time harder.but this time she cried . wel that’s the most powerful weapon kids have. Aunty Nilu punished me . I had to write 5 sentences about her. so I wrote 5 sentences about her eyes, Aunty Nilu gave me 5 out of 10 and asked me to write about her not about her eyes. Then I used the secret weapon ,then I cried, asking for her eyes . Aunty Nilu said

“okey she ll give you her eyes but you have to come up with an idea to get her eyes without hurting her. “

“Ask her to cross her heart and promise “ I protested

I tried to find a way .but her family moved to another part of the city, on the last day. I kept bugging her saying, “huuuuuuhuuuuuuuu brown eyes “…. I thought She wanted to leave us before I find a way to take her eyes. She left us with tears in her eyes. I was so happy and I kept saying “bye bye brown eyes” she came all the way from her vehicle and bit me for one last time. Silence after words. Did I say something wrong I saw my father looking at my mother from the back mirror when I mentioned Nati’s name. may be they have heard about nati ‘s stories . if its my sister who told them god promise I am going to burn all the dvd’s I brought her .

I tried to find her on facebook in August school holidays. I was in grade 10, I sent her a friend request. I knew its her from her beautiful brown eyes. I can say its her even after 100 years from her eyes .she has changed a lot. Grown bigger and better . but no changes in her eyes. More than upset I was surprised . why does she has to do as he says ? he is neither her mother nor her father . just a boy friend. But later I found out from a mutual friend that she was in a really serious relationship. They ve been dating for 2 years and his hubby dubby is non other than a famous reality tv star Gayan Fernando, she is afraid of losing him it seems. After few months I found some pictures of the couple in many gossip sites .some has criticized him for dating such a young women. But reading the comments it seems age is not a measure to judge beauty . There were many comments like

“hammmoo if I had a girl like that …….” but I comment anonymously

I tried to forget her , knowing that she is owned . any way I never needed her as a gril friend .I just need her eyes . Gayan didn’t win the reality program as everyone expected. But he won the hearts and souls of women. he became a huge star, more than the one who won the competition. Women were going crazy for him, really I don’t see anything special in his songs but he is well known for his good looks . hot look actually. So he was more of a modeler than a singer. In April next year he went on a tour around the globe starting from Australia but he never returned , rumors says that he did a plastic surgery and lives’ in USA , concert organizers were really mad at him. Someone burnt his house. he was in the headlines for a week . all the news channels were talking about how much money he borrowed and they were trying to find what happened to him but no one bothered about his girl friend. I tried to find her on facebook and message her but she had deactivated her profile. I thought she might have ran away with him , but later I found out that she is still in sri lanka through someone in her school. It seems she is having a really hard time in school. She lost all of her friends but it seems she never had friends but some Gayan fans. cops questioned her as wel. she didn’t talk much in school. Just came to school studies .going home, if there a free period she grabs a book and reads it. she didn’t go to mass or group class’s. she was alive but dead ,

My sister listen to Tnl rocks 24/7. She has a small radio player fixed in her bedroom . she cant sleep without music . she is not satisfied with just music she needs rock, its her own kind of addiction.

Few days after o/l’s .bored at home nothing to do .just log in to facebook. One notification. Nataliya has accepted you as a friend. Hahaha hureeeeeeeeeeeeeee…..

But I am not the only one she accepts. Nataiya has accepted 100’s of people. may be she accepts every friend request she gets .any how I am glad she did.

As we had nothing to do after o/l ‘s we spent hours chatting, but she took a long time to reply . always one minute or more. So It was boring most of the times,I ask her few times why does she take that much of time to reply she just blame her stupid internet connection. But some times when I asked a small question like “whats your favorite book “? she sent me a long description about all the books she likes and why she liked them .

I couldn’t enjoy more days doing nothing but chatting. Class’s. i started making new friends, some really good friends . that’s the only good thing about class’s .some of them were in facebook. I met Banuka and Pasan in my drama class. one day Banuka showed me his soon to be girl friend. Banuka is really a good looking man who Is wealthy enough to marry a princess, for my surprise it was Nataliya. They haven’t met yet. But they “chat in facebook all the time.” he told me. Pasan bet nataiya won’t go out with him . Reload worth of 1000 rupees. Pasan chat with Nataliya too and he thinks Nataliya like’s him .and for my surprise the two of them were not the only people who were chatting with her ‘ there were many . its like she chats with everyone, once I asked her about this . I told her that she is really famous among boys . she said

“Oh no I don’t want to be famous.”

“ Then why do you chat with them” I asked

“I just like to make new friends you know .I like to know them better”

. “Oh”

Was my answer . next week after the class banuka gave us a treat . they have watched a movie together . and he told us that nati is really a good kisser. We didnt believe him . “

So its true what banuka said.as pasan refused to believe ,banuka uploaded some pictures to facebook. We all thought that they were dating , Nati said “nahhh we are just friends”. Banuka didn’t admit that he is in a relationship but he didn’t refuse it as wel so it was complicated . but after a week there were some new pictures of Nati with some other guys . this time not someone I knew. So banuka call her a “bitch” for the first time’ .soon there were new set of pictures . she then reduced spending time on facebook but she went out a lot. Movies. Drama’s .sporting events. her parents didn’t care . there were so many rumors going around there were so many people calming to be her boy friend . she watched almost every movie that comes out to theaters but not alone she always had someone with her . she just liked to have the company with a man . Pasan was so upset after watching a movie in a box with her .

“she didn’t let me do anything other than kissing machan. I kissed her throughout the movie she didn’t mind but she didn’t let me do me anything else.”

Near march she won the title “Nati the Bitch” because she chat with too many people, because she ‘s been going out with too many people. And she kissed so many people. She had fine marks for o/l ‘s. but she had to change schools for an unknown reason. Many believed that she was dumped out of school.

We stopped at the McDonalds. My sister is a vegetarian, she just don’t eat fish .so she is just a chikanarian.befonarian and a pokeornarian. this is the place where I met Nati accidently. we were here for a family night and Nati was here with her family . My father and her father were good old friends, both of them studied in the same school .so we arranged 2 tables together ,Nati has a brother, younger one. Our parents started the topic which both of us hate most ,politics !!! so we kids went outside the McDonalds, we spent hours talking . my sister and her brother were huge rock fans so they had lot to discuss.

Is this a real ceremony!! or are they taking me questioned me. well I did a crazy things before I left sri lanka. but I did that for her own good .May be this is what its all about , hmmmphh no worries I did the right thing .

I didn’t bother to chat with Nati after that day, but she tried to start the conversation few times, she said hi ,heyy, hello few times but I didn’t reply.

After few weeks “Nati the bitch” turned in to a “Nati the prostitute” title “ it was like if you want to watch a movie and kiss someone talk to Nati. For many of them she was more like a cheap prostitute.

I met pasan while I was shopping for my England tour . he showed me a video which he secretly filmed kissing Nati. She kissed him with so much passion there were so much love in it. after seeing that I asked my mother to drop me near Nati’s place .i told her that I have something take care of before I leave sri lanka for 3 weeks today. It wasn’t easy to find nati’s place .there were many streets look exactly same after hours of walking I found her place, being a Sunday it was really a peaceful day .

“hellooo what are you doing here ? “ come in.” Nati’s mother with a warm welcome

Living room, there were so many pictures of Nati and her brother’s hanging on the walls.

Aunty and uncle now expect me to say why I am here for.

“Nati stop it “ her mother but she heard uncle asking her to come in so she left 2 of us .

“No I don’t want to !!!!! “ but I don’t want you to go around kissing some random people.” I lied If I could I ll watch every movie in the world with her .

“find yourself a boy friend ! then kiss him I don’t care .. but stop..”

“what’s the point of boy friend any way good morning love … .hey I am having my lunch love… . darling …sweety …all the silly words and i cant do anything except what he wants.

“That’s enough” nati ‘s father .” nati went in, hand signal from her father

“Thank you son. I ll take care of it .have a nice journey .”

I felt like I am the king of the world. Nati’s father will take care of her. Good that I had guts to do this. Nati might hate me today but soon she ill realize. I left sri lanka happily …

After few days I Logged in to facebook from a hotel computer. She was no longer in facebook. So for the rest of trip in England I didn’t worry about logging in to facebook. There were many important things to do in England.

We turned to the the 6^th street, this is where she lives’ haha i can remember walking in this same street feeling like the king of the world !!! hmmm..wait wait something has changed … oh whats up with this white flags . no no no noooo …

“Mama !!!!!!” she didn’t say anything but she look at me with sympathy in her eyes father look at me through the back mirror . there were very few people. Not more than 5 10 families. I jump off the car before it even stopped. I saw her mother and father but they were not crying.

She was lying inside. Her beautify light brown eyes… no I can’t see her eyes. She never closed her eyes .i have never seen her blink. this cant be Nati. Her brother behind me .to prevent me from doing something stupid ,i kept looking at her for sometime .then went outside sat on an aluminum chair , there were only few banners not a banner from her school even. Nati’s brother took me to his room and showed me a book . it was a handwritten book . there were many empty page’s at the back , I laid on his bed and started reading from the beginning. He let me be alone in his room.

It was untitled but she has written by “nati the bitch (the well knows prostitute )”

She forward her book to her brother father and mother for understanding.

She has mentioned my real name .and she thinks that I am the only one who loved her for real outside her family ,as she thinks if she loved me back and spend more time with me , more depressed I am going to be today. And there’s another chapter with different handwriting. his brother has to written it as she said. After I left sri lanka they went on a trip to down south . but they had to come home after a week as she wasan’t in a good health .

In the last page she questioned who Is the bitch ? she describe there were different kind of men some were more of animals as soon as the movie starts they start kissing her and won’t give her a minute to breath there were some who were more gentlemen type who wait till the end of movie or for a exact moment . and sometimes she had to leave the movie theater as some were trying to go beyond the limit of kissing. A Party and me. (last night i realized....)

Shopping ! !!!!!!!!!!!! I hate it !!!! . my brother and his friend has a Party tomorrow . oh where’s my brother, he was right next to me. ah must be there some where in the shopping complex .pheeeeww I was wondering why this place is crowded, usually its not !!! ahhhhhhhhhhh Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!!! not only my brother I have a party to attend ,but today. i don’t like party ‘s much. (Not because I cant dance) but this party is really important to me there was this girl who I badly wanted to know better. I asked her out few times but she turned me down. may be coz this party is happening in her school she asked me whether I am coming , why would I say no !!!!

But too bad he doesn’t know I have no sense of fashion , ah wait !!!!!! what am I gona wear tonight. Hmmph.. not that I didn’t think of it before. Usually I wear black . this is a Christmas party so there should be little bit of red !!!! but i don’t like red . not red. Maroon actually !!!!!

Hmmm here comes the next big question ? what !!!!!!! there were so many !!!! okeyyy what about a ring ? oh ring !!! no its like you are proposing her !!!! that’s way too much !!!!!!!!!!! okey hmmm how abut some earrings hmmm they all look so funny !!!! ummmmmmmmmmm nahhhhh a necklaces would be better !!! okey so here comes the next question ? which one !!!!!!! seriously I have no sense of fashion , this one. Hmmmm ah that one. Nah this one !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ah I just select a random one .

Then I ran in to the cashier, settle the accounts I was dead scared like stealing some thing!!!!!!! And it was pretty embarrassing near the cashier other customers were with 100 of items and I am just with one .
And in the next moment I was in the car ,safely hide my little gift .after few minutes my brother came and ask “ didn’t you buy any thing ? “
“Nah I changed my mind this place is really crowded today . “
Then I told him that I don’t want to go to BSC now .then we went to a convent . there were some students from the north .they were having so much fun . some bishops college students were doing some activities with them. We spend the hall morning with them in excel world . its fun watching them . no matter what they have or what they don’t have they enjoy them self’s .but I notice one thing. There was a huge gap between the boys and girls’. from the smallest kid to the teens. They had it ‘ there was this dancing item ‘ a couple dance. But its more like that girl is dancing alone ‘ they didnt’t even hold hands together .
When bishopions finished there activities it was almost 7.30 a vibration !!! a call!!! call!!! the one who I met at odel..

I was there thinking.. hmmmm how am I going to go there alone . hmmm… ah then a kidoo sit next to me and showed me the first page of a book. There was a number written in it , hmmmm ah a number okey…

He said nothing !!!! he try to say some thing but language barriers stop him it seems. Seriously it stinks that we all live in this small country but we cant communicate with each other . it’s a shame that I cant speak tamil

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh he want me to call that number’ hayoo he should have told me that at the first place nah . it seems its his mothers number they talk for like 15 minutes it seems ‘ that kiddo was really happy. how can I interrupt him .

I bet I will if I knew little tamil. But any way it seems line disconnected suddenly then he gave me the phone and said “nanry “ I said nothing but thumbs up , then I try to make a call . beep beep. Ah out of credits .
At around 8.30 I managed to recharge credits for my phone . then I was there at the bars café waiting for my friend. I ordered a milk shake ‘most of the people seems to notice me coz I was dinning there alone !!! “hello !!!! I am waiting for some friends !!!!!!!! then I called him he said
“ah machan I ll be there in 5 “
he was more of whispering than talking I wonder why .
I took half and hour to finish the milk shake .i pretend that I am texting some one but actually I was plying snake on the phone .then I called him again.

Where have I been ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!
How long has it been ? hmm may be 2 . 3 months I didn’t upload my blog. I add some pics but didn’t type any thing. Its not just I didn’t have time to , I wasant in a good mood,
I had few task to accomplish. Mainly the arts day. Its not fun like making a movie . really a different task, doing a day. Those who have done it might know what exactly I am talking about . its been really tuff months for me, had really a weird time . for a one moment every things fine. But in the next second ……………… with in these months I try to stick to a motto. “Hakuna Mattata “ (what a wonderful phrase ) it means no worries. From the movie lion king. Problems problems problems when I solve one here comes the next one, but no matter how big it is. I try to stick to the code “Hakuna Mattata” .
Arts day went wel. Really wel lots of people were happy about it. And some even comment “ the best day they have ever seen “ but there’s this one person who think that this is the worst day in the history of rc. And the funny thing is he wasant there to watch it even. I didn’t expect him to say “ you did a grate job” I knew he wont be happy. But seriously what’s his problem ? must be jealousy . any way I really should thank him, coz with out him we wont feel like this, with out him we might have done the arts day 1000 times easier . but that wont be fun, this jealousy bugger make it really exciting. And fun after all,
Any way he is not the only one who act against us .there were many but in some way they were all connected to him, (coincident’s huh) . many of them struggle to stop the arts day or to screw it. but they failed we did it some how !!!!
Ahhhhh the topic I am done.
I think I did some thing for school. May be a little . but now my time is up. Few days ago . some one ask me ? who are you ? I haven’t seen you in school ? have you done any thing to school ? ….. I didn’t answer. But later I think about it. Seriously …….. he made me realize that no matter how much I do for school that wont be enough . and after all I am the bad guy now. For some people in school . I am the worst student ever. You know what I don’t care !!! I don’t care what they think of me !!! I just did every thing I can.!!! And now I am done.

Don’t you like Ants ? I love them, there’s few in my room always,

I have seen ants in movies, in television, in cartoon’s but for the first time I saw them on stage, its not just ants on stage , you ll be able to see grasshoppers, lady bugs, butterflies , etc . and if you are really lucky you will be able to see, some can even fly !!!! yeah fly !!!!

This ballet is about an ant colony, there’s this mosquito who shows no sympathy and chase them away from their home’s , not just once but few times. But ants save her life,

This is a children’s ballet, but cant say it ‘s for children’s entertainment. Any one could enjoy it. But most of the actors were kids, not just 10 or 20. There were many, I am sure its not that easy to work with them, each and every one had their own part to do, I am sure, this must be months of practice,

My favorite part is the tea party. Well directed,

Nothing to talk about music, sets or lighting all were brilliant ,

The only bad thing I could say is some times its really hard to focus on one thing as too many things happening on stage,

So any way what do you think of doing in this lovely Sunday evening……

If you have time there’s 2 shows today, this might be the final chance to watch Kumbi Kathawa, one at 5.30 Pm and 8.00 Pm at the Bishops College auditorium.

And finally no I didn’t get paid to blog about this. Its just I like it. Its so different….

I believe that love = sacrifice . if you love some one you have to sacrifice many things for him or her . take time as an example. If you love some one you have to sacrifice some of your free time to spend with her ,to talk to her. To chat with her. Money !!! don’t you have to spend some ,to buy some presents . for meals, at least credits for your phone.

When you truly love some one you expect her or his happiness. So you need he or she to be happy. To make her happy you’ ll do almost anything ,(do anything but don’t lose yourself ) But some times I wonder whether the people truly love each other .

lets say there’s a girl who’s truly attractive. And she has a boy friend. But others try to brake up there relationship ,Why ? to take her !! she is happy with that guy. But thinking of there happiness. to take her to there hands….. is that love . I don’t think so. Its totally selfishness .

Don’t you ever wanted to run away from every thing ? wel, with out a good reason just wanted to be alone for some time. Oh how long has it been ,I am sorry I was nearly dead. First I must say I am not a fan of these reality shows. When I was going through youtube’s most viewed videos I found out this….. Honestly I cried while watching this video. Specially for the lines that come out of her mouth .after embarrassing in front of every one. She said in her own words “ can I start again “ this little 10 year old girl didn’t give up. Yes its true. She cried she ask for her mother. but she didn’t ask to go home. She asked “can I start again.. “

Sinhala Language and Literary Unit of Royal College understands and undertakes the national task of empowering the present generation of students with Information Technology, journalism and Sinhala language skills, in an era in which, our mother language is on a decline due to lack of proper use.

Inheriting a profound educational tradition among Sri Lankan schools, Royal College is already providing a wide range of services to her students through information technology. Project to Promote Sinhala Unicode, Internet Journalism and Sinhala Blogging

A blog competition will be held as a part of the literary day festival organized by the Sinhala Language and Literary Unit of Royal College. This event is sponsored by Information and Communication Technology Agency to mark the Year of Information Technology 2009. Evaluating and appraising Sinhala language bloggers, introducing new bloggers to Sinhala blogosphere, promoting Sinhala Unicode and Internet journalism are the key objectives of the event.

Competition will be held from June to August 2009 with participation of Individual students, schools and Nenasala centres island wide. Sinhala Language and Literary Unit of Royal College is prepared to provide necessary technical assistance to all participants. An initial workshop will be conducted for the participating schools and further workshops will be conducted at various locations through our representatives.

School Division

School division will be held in collaboration with Sinhala Language and Literary Units of participating schools. Each school will be given a sub-domain of our official websitewww.sahithya.lk and they will be asked to update and maintain their websites (blogs) using Sinhala Unicode. Winning school will receive special awards from our sponsors. Students who wish to compete as individual bloggers must join the open division competition.

Open Division

Individuals who are over the age of 12 are eligible to compete in the open division. Winners of open division will be awarded under following categories :

we did a video shoot as we have to make a trailer to be broadcast on MAX TV and DERANA TV . the video shoot went wel. I Must thank all grade 11 hostellers for organizing this Video shoot with in a brief notice. Ah and of cause for the students and teachers of Devi Balika Vidyalaya for spending there valuable time with us.

I am eager to see MAX and DERANA Tv trailer’s..

i try to play some instruments ... ahhh in keybord i can play twincle twincle little star. and in drum set hmm can keep the retharm but its 100 times harder than i thought. i like this pad... it has sounds of gataberaya and yakberaya....

after this rough discussion yesterday ,we decide to stop leroyale permanently . the problem was the bad leadership, which means me, according to them," i have done no good for them, " i am not giving any credit for them" " and leroyale is in this standed because of them not because of me " any way then i ask them to take leroyale and continue but they denied it, then as we begin this together, we decide to shut down this together,

then i came home and change my facebook status, and start typing the resignation letter, after an hour or two i sign in to facebook and saw all the comments. for my status update . Comments were from all around the world. asking not to shut this down and appreciating what we have done. Before sending my resignation letter via facebook leroyale group or fan page i call suvinda ayya. and as he asked me i then try to call others .. but no one answers the phone.

may be they wanna shut this down, and there are some other people who are willing to see that happen and i believe some how there's a connection between them and this incident, this is not the first time we decide or we been ordeed to shut leroyale down. but every time i was strong and i face all the problems . but this time its bit different because this gratitude 's coming from inside.

finally i made up my mind not to shut down leroyale tv . i know its gona be difficult, but for the sake of all leroyale fans. i am gona do this some how.

after the all the work i did now its famous among the school that i am the worst leader ever. wel , so i guess this will make me loose my dream position in school, but yeah i am used to this loosing thing now.

any way as i heard every thing they have to say. and from there perspective i am worst than Hitler and about doing only the bad for them. haha. i 'll just smile for that , i have done so many good things to them which they dont consider or which they dont know and most probably which they have forgotten , i didnt expect any thing back from them i did them all as a friend. but as i heard yesterday for them i was never a friend always an uncurl evil leader,

and they said a lot which absolutely makes me cry. but at the same time it helps me to realize another side of life .

may be i was never a friend to them but for me they were more than friends, but no way in future they can be my friends again , and one day they might realize that they were so blind but i dont want it to happen as then they will feel ashamed of them self's.

there's lot more to say but i prefer to keep them for my self .

there' was a special seminar for LOGIC students today. Every thing went wel . we send letter’s to most of the Colombo schools. But only some grate 13’s of Vishaka Vidyalaya were present. So it was a little RCVV workshop. Everything went well ..

I did everything I can. Sounds , Projector, Food, ect. But I am missing some people. I wish they were here with me today. It was fun. They miss a good time .and as I can see their attitude has change. Or someone has change it. But any way I am not going to sit around being miserable thinking of them . We started this together as a team. It’s terrible if they are leaving me at the climax. But its their life .not mine, what to do people change . . . but with or with out them. I am continuing.

its hard and sad and bad. but I am not giving up. I made up my mind . no matter what I am not giving up. If they want they are almost welcome. But if they don’t want. K . thanks a lot for being with me this long .

hmmmmm we did the live streaming from kandy.. ahhhhhhhhh i am not in a mood to blog.. ahhhhhhh . and about that MC girl after lots of research i found her name. but she is not in facebook. and the greatest news is , she is in a realationship with some one in our class. so... thats the end of another dream.....
